Sean Morrow | | Loan Garantee Scheme + Invoice Finance = Cash Injection | There has been a crucial change to the eligibility criteria for the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme (SFLGS): since 1st April the 5 year rule relating to the age of the business is no longer applicable.
This will mean many more small firms can benefit from the scheme where BERR (The Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform - formerly the DTI) guarantees 75% of the loan. We can introduce you to authorised lenders that can offer the SFLGS in addition to invoice finance, as a way of releasing additional cash.

| | Raise Cash from Invoices to Government Bodies | Thanks to a change announced in the recent budget, small firms are now able to access invoice finance against their invoices to government bodies. The ban on assignment (preventing invoices from being assigned to an invoice finance company for factoring or invoice discounting) has been lifted.
So if your debtors include government departments you may now be able to access finance on those invoices, plus, factoring companies are now free to help you collect in such invoices if required.
