HMRC 'Time to Pay' scheme extended, but for how long?
|
The good news is that the HMRC has extended the 'Time to Pay' Scheme that has enabled large numbers of businesses to take additional time to pay their tax and VAT liabilities.
However, the extension is just "for as long as is needed".
This sounds like good news on the face of it, but that statement lacks clarity. How will it be decided it is no longer needed? And no longer needed by who?
It seems unlikely the scheme will be continued indefinitely, and when it's removed there'll be a large number of businesses fighting to raise the finance necessary to pay their tax and VAT.
So our advice is to act early and put in place the funding to meet this liability whenever it arises, and before the finance companies are swamped with applications for support.
Why not request a free invoice finance quotation search now?

How a client made a cost saving of 30%
|
We were recently in contact with a firm of machinery wholesalers who were using non recourse invoice discounting from one of the high street banks.
They were looking for an improved service and wanted to save some money.
We found them a similar facility with an independent discounter who we know to have provided consistently high service levels, and in the process achieved a substantial saving for our client equivalent to a 30% reduction in their annual fees.
